Anne Pehrisch – :
All of the previous reviews, were not only helpful in choosing a place for our stay in London, but also provided perfect descriptions of this lovely Bed & Breakfast and its exceptional and wonderful host.
In addition, the London B&B Agency was extremely friendly and effective in handling our booking.
My sister and I took both the double front room, overlooking the very quiet Albert Street, and the single back room, overlooking a pretty garden court, for two nights. Both rooms were comfortably and tastefully furnished and the beds were excellent. There were shelves filled with books, and beautiful paintings on the walls. (Actually the whole house had beautiful artwork everywhere.) The connecting bathroom was clean, well equipped and the shower was wonderful and easy to use, especially for older people!
A delicious continental breakfast was served in the dining area attached to the kitchen. Elspeth, our host, sat and chatted with us over croissants and coffee, it was like staying with a good friend in their home.
The location was fantastic. All the places we wanted to visit were easily accessible by tube or by bus — we preferred the latter — including just a 15-minute ride to theatre in the West End. And we had all the advantages of being able to explore Camden Town, one of London’s liveliest areas.
Plenty of restaurants to choose from — our best meal was at the Spanish Tapas Bar Jamon Jamon, a two minute walk from the B&B, where we enjoyed the most delicious Tapas ever, the friendly service and pleasant atmosphere.
Only the B&B’s WiFi, and its TV connections presented a small problem.
Note: In case you want to travel to the B&B by bus from Waterloo Railway Station to Camden Town, be sure to make enquiries: at the time of our visit, the 168 had been replaced with Numbers 1 and/or 2 and the bus stop was on Waterloo Bridge!
We are already looking forward to our next trip and as long as there is availability, we will never stay anywhere else!

Dear Elspeth
Our return journey was right. Thanks for your advice, taking the train at Tottenham Hale was a better way. The flight was on time. So we were able to have our tea-time at home.
We are delighted of our sejourn in your home. It was really amazing. Our room was confortable and you were so friendly.
Camden Town is a lovely place with many stores and restaurants. Staying here was very convenient due to all the public transports.
We were able to visit a lot of neighbourhoods and museums in London center.
It was also an opportunity for us to improve a little bit our English.
We apologize for every language mistakes we did.
Thanks for all. Sincerely.

I come to London every month for work for a few days, and after a lot of hit and miss (mostly miss) with AirBnB, for the past several months I’ve be staying in Elspeth’s house in Camden. The room at Elspeth’s is clean, with a nice bed and sheets, and it comes with a wonderful light breakfast. The house is perfectly located in the heart of Camden, so nice restaurants and shops are everywhere, and the usual sightseeing locations just a few tube stops away. I recommend it very highly. I had a wonderful stay in the home of your hostess. She was so friendly and made me feel very welcome. The room was very homely and comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring the city, so close to the tube station, pubs, restaurants, markets and Regent’s Park.I would always prefer a stay in such an authentic B&B to a Hotel in the city and will definitely book again when I visit London in the future. Thank you Elspeth for her great hospitality. I had a great time there and she’s really nice!! The room is comfortable and very near to Camden town station. Really a good pick to stay here instead of in hotel, especially for those who travel alone! Geoff F, Hong Kong, 10.4.14

We enjoyed a lovely stay with Elspeth. Very relaxed house and quiet street, gracious host and a good breakfast. Location is very convenient for the tube to take you around London as well as having all that Camden has to offer right on the doorstep. We would definitely stay here again. Would also add that booking was handled very professionally and the charges very reasonable. We have already recommended the London B & B Agency to friends. Sean W, Scotland 17.05.13

Even though she was only one person, my mother took the double room in Camden as it was so affordable. Elspeth was an excellent hostess: my mother loved the plant-life and the art, and heaped praise on the Costa Rican coffee she got each morning along with a delicious breakfast. Elspeth also provided great tips on shopping and sightseeing. I think they were a great match and I will certainly book my mother in again if she comes to stay. Julia L

I wanted to let you know I spent 2 wonderful nights in London in Elspeth’s house. She is a wonderful host – warm but respectful of privacy – and the house is ideally situated 3 min away from the Camden Town Underground. The back bedroom was very comfortable and quiet and I highly recommend this place to any single woman travelling to London alone. Malina

pedromedro – :
Staying at Elspeth’s house was great: the 3-storey house is lovely (and being an architect, I appreciated how well it was furnished), the location is vibrant (safe at night as there are always people around, full of shops and places to go out at night, but also quiet if one wants to rest), close to the underground and bus links, breakfast delicious (perfect start to the day), and, most of all, the host so friendly. Just loved the place and Elspeth.

Everything was perfect. She was a fab host. Wonderful house/location. Comfortable bed, nice bedding, nice breakfast. I’ll definitely be going to stay there again. My whole 4 days in London was amazing and having somewhere so nice to stay added to the enjoyment. Cathy W
