I had 9-night stay in Jane’s house in March 2024. The bed room was well insulated. The dining area was under glass roof, with colorful walls. Breakfast was served with homemade bread, fresh orange juice and choices of cereal. Jane always suggested me a journey plan in the morning before I started my adventure. The house is closed to bus stops to Action Town underground station, Shepherd’s Bush. It takes 5 minutes’ walk to Acton Central over ground station and 5 minutes’ walk to Acton Park, a beautiful and quiet park. There are choices of restaurants and café nearby.

My wife and I spent lovely nine nights at Jane’s accommodation. She is a wonderful host and makes some amazing bread served at breakfast. The morning conversation at breakfast is always a delight and the conservatory a wonderful place to enjoy it. Possibly the most pleasurable part of staying there is being surrounded by her art and her friends art! Also, be sure to check out her jewelry!
Jane is a wealth of information for those new to London and Acton Town. When needing directions Jane is dead on with concise instructions.
If you are really fortunate, the local urban fox makes a visit outside your window.

My stay as a single guest from 30 October to 11 November 2019 in Jane’s cute little house in the quiet Grove Road in Acton Town was the real joy. The description of the accommodation and location is absolutely accurate and trustworthy.
The location of the room on the upper floor is particularly quiet – with a view to the neighbors’ gardens. The modern bathroom with bathtub is located separately a few steps down.
Homeowner Jane is a very versatile artist. Her house is decorated in many different ways with her own artwork from her own workshop at home as well as from artist friends.
Jane’s reception is very warm and caring. Jane is an attentive host. If you need information, she will be happy to help you with her knowledge and local expertise.
In the morning the guest is welcomed by a squirrel living in the gardens – occasionally a fox joins in. Just like the countryside!
Jane prepares a breakfast of your choice freshly for a small extra charge. At the same time you can talk about everything with Jane.
The walk to the station is about 10 minutes; the journey to Westminster, for example, by regional train (change once) takes about three quarters of an hour
A stay with Jane is highly recommended. I will gladly come back.

We really enjoyed our stay in b&b at Jane’s charming little home. Everything was clean, well-organized and very cosy. Jane is a humorous and helpful woman. Our day always started with a wonderful breakfast according to our wish und an easy-going chat full of interesting and helpful tips. The cottage is situated in a quiet street as described with short distance to shops and pubs. There was easy access to buses and the London Underground. Highly recommend! Thank you Jane.

Cornel and I stayed with Jane for a week and what a lovely week it was.
In Jane´s little colourful and warm Kingdom, all of the comforts you need are made available to you. Additionally, you get a free bounty of advise, wit, humour and art from a wonderful hostess who knows a lot about art, silver, carpet weaving, plants, politics and the best places to visit.
Jane is always up at the crack of dawn and showers you every morning with a humongous breakfast suitably adjusted to you as well as all of the latest tidbits of the day e.g. famous English cooks, reciepes, trips, art museums, sight seeing places…etc.
I remember the first morning, my husband asked Jane if she had any shredded wheat. The next day it was on the breakfast table. One day I asked Jane about a reciepe for scones, and the next day I had the most mouth watering scones I had ever had with butter and some of Jane´s home-made jam, not to mention the lovely fruit bowl she would have ready for you.
Jane´s B &B is a home that she chooses to share with others in an all encompassing way. She is like an ambassador to the UK and what a funny and humorous one she is.
We love you Jane

I would like to share with you the wonderful time I had staying with Jane, Grove Road, Acton.
Jane is a lovely lady and an exceptionally good host. Her home is a delight to stay in. The art work is a massive treat for any art enthusiast. Her house is spotless and I was made very welcome with the waft of fresh flowers dotted around. Breakfast can be anything you like served with a linen napkin and fine china anytime you wish. Visitors have the use of their own fridge and tea/coffee making facilities.
Jane is on hand each morning to give directions, journey plans and help in any way she can. Thanks to Jane introducing me to new London attractions I seen more than I had hoped to.
I am Irish. I flew into Gatwick and arrived at Jane’s door over an hour later for a mere 13 pounds. Her home is five minutes walk from Acton Central. Plenty of shops locally to pick up any essentials and a lovely park for a stroll.
Thank you for a wonderful London B & B.

We spent a whole week in April 2017 at this Bed & Breakfast and would heartily recommend it. We enjoyed Jane’s hospitality and good humour, and the food also. We could not ask for a better host! We arrived as strangers, we left as friends!

We had a wonderful time in London; this B&B is great, the host lovely and very helpful, and the homemade breakfast delicious. The house is located in a quiet side street, but plenty of restaurants and shops are nearby, as well as public transport. Warmly recommended! And again: Thank you for having us. Lydia, Germany

Daniel Knarr – :
I had nice days in London. The B&B was perfect for me. I felt welcome from the first moment I stepped in. The bed is of good quality, my back didn’t complain at all. I shared a modern bathroom where everything works perfectly. In the morning, I had a breakfast as I asked for and the best tea all over the UK. The morning chat woke me up – my english deficits didn’ matter at all – so I had the best start to the day, some Londoner’ Insider tips. Access to public transport is optimal (3 min footwalk to the L. overground) but the house itself is located quietly.
Thanks very much for the hospitality.. Grove road is a special tip for friends! Daniel K, Germany 2.10.2016

It´s an absolutely pleasure staying with Jane, a great home. She´s very kind and helpful and I think she always does her very best to make your stay unforgettable. I stayed 6 nights, means 6 times breakfast. I told my host I´m a vegetarian and she created every morning a different veggie breakfast. Thank you very much for this great stay. Peter S, Germany

I had a delightful 3 night stay in Jane’s cottage; a comfortable bed in quiet and airy bedroom, state of the art bathroom. Breakfast cooked to your liking and served in the conservatory/garden room. Jane is a warm and welcoming host and her home is in a peaceful location with easy access to all parts of London; buses are within a 3 minute walk. Acton Central tube is just a 5 minute walk around the corner – you can be in Richmond or Kew in 10minutes and central London in 30 minutes.Highly recommended. Mary, England, 16.03.15.

We stayed here for 2 nights in July. The accommodation was clean and fresh. The location was quiet and it was easy to reach central London with the communications. The host was friendly and helpful, we can think of to stay here again during our next London stay and we will recommend this B and B. Maria M, Sweden, 8.8.14

I came to London to attend a course and had a thoroughly pleasant stay. Our host is super and the house is spotlessly clean. Acton has developed into a buzzing little community. Easy access to the town and plenty of good bars and restaurants within walking distance. The locals are very friendly. I would recommend this house without hesitation!
