The restaurants along Uxbridge Road provide fantastically well-cooked and authentic Nepalese, Lebanese, Somali, Thai, Indian, Argentinian, French and Eastern European food and other, products.  Shepherds Bush market, with its fascinating warren of stalls, is one of the largest permanent open air markets in Europe.  The Westfield Shopping Centre in the heart of Shepherds Bush at White City opens in August 2008, boasting 1.5million square feet of retail space. Attached to Westfield is the world renowned Westway Sports Complex, which is walking distance from the centre of Shepherds Bush with the largest set of indoor sports courts and the most extensive indoor climbing facilities in the UK.  Three of London's biggest music concert venues are within easy reach of Shepherds Bush, and neighbouring Hammersmith and the Earls Court and Olympia Exhibition centres are no more than one and a half miles each from the centre of Shepherds Bush.  For more intimate entertainment there is Bush Hall which plays host to some of the biggest names in Folk and Jazz music and the Bush Theatre is on the corner of Shepherds Bush Green.  Queens Park Rangers is nestled in their cosy ground at nearby Loftus Road under the watchful gaze of giant BBC Studios Complex which is the largest employer in the area.
