This has become an extremely sought-after and desirable residential borough. The main transport into the borough is through Clapham Junction, where trains go into Victoria and Waterloo and take only 6 minutes, or direct to Gatwick airport in under 30 minutes. Regular bus services to Chelsea and the West End. Wandsworth has a fantastic choice of pubs, wine bars and restaurants to suit all price brackets, including Chez Bruce (rated by Hardens as the best food in London). Putney, in the west of the borough, is the starting point for the well known Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race, and the famous Wimbledon Tennis Club is close by. Tooting Bec boasts the largest outdoor swimming pool in Europe.
