You will be staying close to Highgate Village with its many shops and restaurants, and also the famous Highgate Cemetery where Karl Marx is buried.  From Archway and Highgate you can catch the 210 bus to Kenwood House which is an English Heritage property set in acres of rolling countryside and has magnificent views over Hampstead Heath.  It houses an international art collection : Vermeer, Rembrandt, Turner, Reynolds, Ganisborough, Van Dyke and Frans Hals.  In recent years Archway has seen an increase in young middle class residents attracted by its restaurants and good public transport connections to central London.
